FAQ: How do I become a distributor or retailer of Seachem® products?

You may not be aware that these are different things!  A distributor is a company that purchases products from one or several manufacturers and distributes them to stores.  These are the folks with massive warehouses, a fleet of shipping trucks, and a big team of employees to make sure that orders are packed and sent out on time.  A retailer is a shop or individual that purchases from a distributor and sells to the people who actually use the product.  This can be anything from a small-town local fish store to an online shop to a chain of pet stores.

Becoming a retailer of Seachem® products is easy - simply contact your local distributor of pet products and purchase Seachem® products for sale in your shop.  If your shop is in a physical location (not an online store) you can contact Seachem Laboratories and we'll be happy to add you to our Dealer Locator!  You can also contact Seachem Laboratories if you are unsure where to find a distributor of Seachem® products, and we are happy to put you in contact with a sales representative.

FAQ: Where can I purchase products for my USA store?

If you would like to become a distributor of Seachem® products, you should visit the Customer Portal and apply.  There are some things you should be aware of first:

1. Seachem® distributors are typically large and well-established companies. If you are simply looking to purchase direct from Seachem® for your own tanks or small business, your application will not be accepted.

2. The selection process for Seachem® Distributors is stringent, especially for importers and distributors outside the United States.  Only a very small percentage of the distributors that are considered actually become distributors, and even fewer importers are accepted.
