FAQ: Will Seachem MatrixCarbon™ affect my pH, GH, or KH?

MatrixCarbon™ is not capable of impacting the mineral concentration in any way, so it will not directly impact the GH of the aquarium.  However, extremely high overdoses of any kind of carbon can cause the pH to fluctuate.  We recommend to follow the dosing instructions and to ensure that the aquarium is properly buffered to maintain the pH.
