FAQ: Can I use Seachem HyperSorb™ in a tank where I'm keeping ______?

Yes!  HyperSorb™ exclusively removes organic waste from the water and does not release anything in its place, so if is perfectly fine to use HyperSorb™ in any type of aquarium and with any type of fish.

Be aware that some types of aquarium logs and decorations leach tannins into the water that stain the water brown.  Tannins are an organic molecule, and therefore HyperSorb™ will be capable of removing them from the water.  If this is an effect that you want in your aquarium, you will need to exclude HyperSorb™ and other waste-absorbing medias like Purigen® and activated filter carbon.
