Reef Fusion 2™ hasn't been FDA approved for use in the production of food for humans or terrestrial animals, and we haven't tested it in applications outside of the aquarium. We will not be able to speculate on how Reef Fusion 2™ will work in non-aquarium applications for this very reason.
With regards to using Reef Fusion 2™ in a freshwater or brackish system, the components of Reef Fusion 2™ are not directly dangerous to freshwater or brackish creatures, but they may result in a pH or alkalinity that is much too high for freshwater or brackish fish. To raise the carbonate alkalinity in this type of system, we recommend Alkaline Buffer™.
