FAQ: Will using Seachem Focus™ kill off my beneficial bacteria colonies?

No, it will not. Fully cycled aquariums typically make it through treatment with medicated food blends containing Focus™ with no impact on the beneficial bacteria colonies at all.  In fact, use of a medicated food blend is our preferred method of treating tanks that may be unstable or still cycling.
