FAQ: Will Seachem ParaGuard™ affect my pH, GH, KH, or any other major water parameter?

No.  ParaGuard™ contains neither buffers nor calcium and magnesium, so it will have no impact on pH, GH, KH, or other major water parameters when used as recommended.  However, keep in mind that fish often become susceptible to ich and other external infections as a result of improper or unstable water parameters. Your water chemistry may already be unstable before ParaGuard™ is even added.  We recommend keeping a close eye on water quality when your fish are sick to prevent fluctuations that will stress them further.
