It certainly is!  An overdose of Reef Advantage Calcium™ can result in a sudden and stressful shift in calcium levels, which can throw off your other water parameters.  If calcium levels are still incorrect despite repeated additions of a supplement like Reef Advantage Calcium™, it is likely that there is an imbalance of some kind in your water parameters that is preventing your calcium levels from rising.  We recommend testing your magnesium and alkalinity to ensure these parameters are within the ideal range for a reef aquarium.
