FAQ: Can I use Seachem Flourish Nitrogen™ in a tank where I'm keeping ______?

Possibly.  Flourish Nitrogen™ is exclusively intended for freshwater planted tanks and not every type of aquarium fish is suited to this type of environment. Research your fish to know what kind of aquarium environment they prefer.  Additionally, many fish, plants, and invertebrates are stressed by sudden high-percentage water changes and shifts in water parameters.  We recommend to alter nutrient levels slowly (do not overdose this product) and keep water changes to 30% of the tank or less. More sensitive tank inhabitants will do better with smaller, more frequent water changes and slower alterations of water parameters.

On top of this, Flourish nitrogen™ is specifically intended to be used in planted aquaria that need more nitrogen to grow plants.  If your tank does not currently need more nitrogen, we would recommend against adding more Flourish Nitrogen™.
