Possibly. Equilibrium™ is exclusively intended for freshwater tanks and not every type of aquarium fish is suited to the GH that Equilibrium™ can be used to create. Research your fish to know what GH they would prefer. Additionally, many fish, plants, and invertebrates are stressed by sudden high-percentage water changes and shifts in water parameters. We recommend to alter GH slowly and keep water changes to 30% of the tank or less. More sensitive tank inhabitants will do better with smaller, more frequent water changes and slower alterations of water parameters.
Equilibrium™ is not harmful to plants, and is our recommended buffer for use in planted tanks.
