FAQ: Can I use Seachem Gold Salt™ in a tank where I'm keeping ______?

Possibly.  Not every type of aquarium fish is suited to high-mineral environments or will tolerate the inclusion of salt. Research your fish to know whether they would prefer a high-mineral environment or would prefer water that is much lower in minerals.  Additionally, many fish, plants, and invertebrates are stressed by sudden high-percentage water changes and shifts in water parameters.  We recommend to alter GH slowly and keep water changes to 30% of the tank or less. More sensitive tank inhabitants will do better with smaller, more frequent water changes and slower alterations of water parameters.
