FAQ: I just opened my Seachem Purigen® and it smells bad. Is there something wrong with it?

Sometimes, new containers of Purigen® with have a “fishy” or “rotten egg” smell. This is nothing to worry about – it is not harmful to the tank and the smell does not persist once the Purigen® has been rinsed and added to the filter.
